So are you saying price is a good way to evaluate watchwinders?
No price is not the best guide to use in evaluating a Watch Winder. Price tends to give an indication of quality, but the price guidelines are only written to let you know a watch winder (that works) will not be cheap! A watchwinder is a luxury item, just like a mechanical watch. Scatola del Tempo makes a very nice high end single watchwinder, it sells for $1785, but I think the Orbita Monaco 1 Winder or the Siena 1 WatchWinder both are much better for far less!
