WATCHCASES.com takes every precaution to protect your personal information. We are a Yahoo! store and therefore benefit from Yahoo!'s high level of secure shopping cart technology. In addition our web site is certified "Hacker Safe". (Do you See the Red Logo appearing in the upper right of all our pages? Notice the last tested date indicated should show as today's date.) Most web surfers do not realize every time they click on a link and land on a web-page that they risk having unwanted software secretly loaded onto their computer. Often times it is not even the website doing it, but a hacker. Hacker Safe checks our website against such vulnerabilities and protects you. Certification is expensive and most web-sites do not spend the money to guarantee your protection. We felt HACKER SAFE certification was the best, despite the cost!

In case you are new to purchasing online to the left are the security code locations for the major credit cards. Click the small image to clearly see a larger image. The security code on your credit card is an additional way of protecting your identity online. This code is never written down and we never see it, after you enter it the computer simply sends us a verification of the code. A pass/fail test if you will. It sends a yes or no reply. This yes or no is all we see. Never write the code down or allow a site to display these 3 or 4 digit codes for your own protection. Technically sites are not allowed to display this code, but such blocking technology is expensive.

What this "Hacker Safe" certification means is our website is tested and certified daily to pass the SANS/FBI Internet Security Vulnerabilities Test! Research conducted at the federally funded Computer Security Center (CERT/CC®) indicates that sites free of all known vulnerabilities that can be remotely scanned for, such as those earning HACKER SAFE certification, will prevent over 99.9% of hacker crime. This is a very real concern, few sites have taken this additional expense and precaution to protect their customers from a hacker spoofing a site and stealing valuable data.

When you submit sensitive information via our website, your information is protected both online and off-line. We use your Credit Card information strictly to verify the order and to charge you for items you ordered from us. Credit Card information is retained in our orders database hosted by Yahoo! Inc. for only 30 days. All credit card information is discarded after 30 days. In fact, should you ever process a return that exceeds 30 days we will need to call you to re-obtain your credit information for issuing a credit, since your information is not otherwise recorded.

When our order form asks you to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number and expiration date), this information is encrypted and is protected with the best 128-bit encryption software in the industry - Secure Socket Layer (SSL). While on a secure page, such as our order form, please notice how the small padlock lock icon on the bottom corner of Web browsers (such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer) becomes locked (as opposed to the standard un-locked when you are just 'surfing') indicating your security. Or notice how the address URL in the web browser changes from http:// to the prefix https:// or shttp:// adding the letter "s" for "secure".

If you have any questions about the security at our website, you can send an email to info@watchcases.com or use our online email form..

WATCHCASES.com recommends that you take every precaution to protect your self from fraud. First by only shopping at known or trusted sites with clearly visible security features. Like Yahoo! Stores. We chose Yahoo! Stores for this very reason. Because of their strong reputation, track record and credibility with consumers.

The leading online fraud area right now is in the online auction arena. Most offers are legitimate, just be careful check the seller out as best you can, then go with your gut. Likewise check us out! We would also recommend that you use only one credit card for all of your Internet shopping. If any of your cards is ever compromised you will discover it quickly and you can cease activity with that single card. Typically cards are compromised off line, (by unscrupulous employees or by dumpster divers digging for receipts and credit slips) and then used online for purchases. WATCHCASES.com recommends you shred all personal and financial data prior to disposal. The Internet in our opinion is safer than your local retail store, or restaurant where your card is actually taken and disappears from sight. We recommend that you never allow this to occur, since card-swiping equipment would allow a thief to easily steal your credit card data with out your knowledge, simply by swiping it through the device.

For additional information you might check out the USDOJ-(US Department Of Justice) web site dealing with Internet Fraud: At http://www.internetfraud.usdoj.gov/.....Finally WATCHCASES.com is committed to prosecuting Internet fraud. Our policy is to take criminal and civil action on any and all counts of fraudulent orders made through our store. We believe that despite the expense of pursuing this policy, in the long run it will ultimately save us and our customers money by deterring online criminals. Be a safe and extravagant shopper at WATCHCASES.com! Thank you for visiting.
